Hello and welcome!

My name is James Hutchins and like you, I love really good chocolate. That’s why, a few years ago, I started handmaking chocolates and selling them in my specialist, intimate, chocolate café-shops called bar chocolat. You’ll get a warm welcome at our branches in Bristol and Bath.

I make my chocolates using the best chocolate from around the world and if you come to a bar chocolat, you can also indulge in some decadent handbaked cakes, cooling summer drinks, homemade ice creams, creamy hot chocolate drinks and smooth, locally roasted coffee.

Whether you feel like spoiling yourself or someone else, there is something for everyone. For a taster, try our smaller bars or if you’re looking for the ultimate gift, we have luxury boxes of pralines and highly original chocolate present ideas. And children love our chocolate frogs, pigs and bunnies.
